Father's Day.  Absolutely gorgeous celebration and thanksgiving for the earthly fathers with whom we've been blessed.  Truly, a worthy celebration.

But as we ponder the activity of our earthly fathers, let's not downplay or dismiss the activity of our Heavenly Father.  What he's so faithfully and fully done is marvelous!  Let's ponder that truth, though, by realizing this: it's what he doesn't do that sets him apart as worthy of praise, thanks and honor.  He doesn't look at us as our sins deserve.  He doesn't fish up our past to hold them against us.  He doesn't forget his promises to us.  All those blessings (and more) are ours as his dear children!
